Past Work

XORNOT Studios has been involved in an going project with Momcafe since July 2007, implementing a complete web presence for their mom's networking events. This includes an online membership and event registration system with custom payment processing, built on the TurboGears framework (Python), and a Drupal (PHP) based resource site for articles, a blog, a forum, and contests. Graphic design by Shannon C Design was added to the project in January 2008.

In partnership with Shannon C Design, XORNOT Studios implemented a custom business-to-business e-commerce site and ordering system for Twin Berry Farms, closely reflecting their unique business model of delivering individual orders grouped by workplace based delivery dates. XORNOT Studios also provides server administration and general IT support to Twin Berry Farms. This ongoing project has grown in scope for three seasons with plans in place for fourth season extensions.

In partnership with Shannon C Design, XORNOT Studios implemented a custom content management system for Casual Home by Jordan's, designed to complement the client's existing marketing and advertising strategy. This project uses the TurboGears web framework and includes a dynamic front end with AJAX slide show and a custom designed administrative interface designed to ease the tasks of managing high loads of image heavy content. ( Ongoing project, not yet launched, awaiting final client content )

In partnership with Shannon C Design, XORNOT Studios implemented a blog site for financial advisor Thomas Strumpski, using the Drupal CMS and Zen Theme framework, including integration with Google Adsense and Feedburner RSS services.

In partnership with Shannon C Design, XORNOT Studios implemented a custom gift basket ordering system for Eat Local Foods, an offshoot of Twinberry Farms in partnership with Chef Murray Bancroft. This project includes a gift basket customization system with a specialized checkout process to enable clients to add per item delivery instructions and payment options. The Eat Local Food ordering system is currently closed for the winter in preparation for a relaunch in the spring of 2009 as a business-to-business service for the corporate sector.

XORNOT Studios and Spindlebox Design provided a complete branding and web presence package to MayneStay Consulting Group, using standards based XHMTL/CSS and progressive enhancement with Javascript. Current work for MayneStay includes a reimplementation of the web presence using the Drupal content management system.

XORNOT Studios and Richard Grams provided Cliffhanger Climbing Gyms with a multi-location custom content management system for their three location business, designed for easy administration in a busy fast paced environment. In addition, XORNOT Studios provided a custom spam filtering module for their PHP BB based bulletin board.

XORNOT Studios and Richard Grams implemented a custom back-end for Brady Dahmer Design using the Python backed Django framework. This project included specialized content management as well as management of flash assets and portfolio pieces, allowing Brady Dahmer Design to keep their visually dynamic portfolio site up to date without compromising the visual integrity or precision of the design.

Under the project management of Brady Dahmer Design, XORNOT Studios provided a static web site and companion custom product catalog application for JML Trading. This project used the TurboGears web framework for the database backed administrative interface as well as the MochiKit Javascript library for the AJAX front end, providing nested product traversal and on demand image loading from the extensive JML Trading product catalog.

XORNOT Studios provided Conehouse Media with an AJAX utility script for a client who wished to have the document content altered in an seamless manner after page load in order to control search engine visibility of specific data. This was provided by using the jQuery Javascript library to request JSON data and alter the Document Object Model, injecting the content transparently into the Joomla content management system theme output.

Under the project management of Richard Grams, XORNOT Studios provided database migration and content conversion for Silent PC Review during their transition from the PHP Nuke content management system to Drupal. This project also included custom Drupal 4 indexing modules, though these are no longer in use as Silent PC has since upgraded major Drupal versions.
